Oxford Prints & Wovens

By Sweetwater

Sometimes the Men’s department provides the perfect inspiration for a fabric collection. While thumbing through the pages of a favorite clothing store’s catalog, we spotted a stack of oxford-cloth shirts in an array of plaids and stripes. They were so crisp and colorful, we were instantly drawn to the photo. Of course, we then thought about what a beautiful quilt they would make and Oxford was born! We mixed the wovens with a variety of prints, and we think they look spectacular together!

Coledale

By QuiltJane

Coledale is our little acre of happiness. This is where we built a home, then filled it with children, chickens and a dog named Jasper. The garden is full of life, it’s been hardened by drought and refreshed by the long rains. Feel at home as you wander amongst the delicate, native blossoms, fruit trees, and majestic rainforest trees. Be surprised by the array of colourful birds that feed on the trees and then feel the cool raindrops on your face as the summer storms roll in.

Twilight

By 1Canoe2

To a painter, life is about color and how it changes depending on the light.  The time between daylight and darkness, whether it’s after sunset or before a sunrise, the sky shines in shades of blue and coral.  Beautiful flowers and moths are cast in these colors, and the artist’s eye mixes them with geometrics and watercolor brushstrokes.  1Canoe2’s Twilight captures the beauty of the palette for quilts, accessories and home décor.

Nature's Glory

By Kansas Troubles

I enjoy living in the Midwest where we experience the four seasons. After a long, hot summer, we can look forward to crisp autumn evenings and enjoying the crunching leaves on a twilight walk. Selecting the perfect pumpkins to decorate my porch is a favorite activity. During the cold, snowy winters, we dream of warm spring days when the gardens explode in full color. Gathering bouquets of blooms for the house on my daily walk is a way to reconnect with nature and leave any stresses at the door. There are ups-and-downs in the weather throughout the year, but overall, those cycles make me appreciate and respect the ever-changing seasons.

Flower Garden Gatherings

By Primitive Gatherings

Color your life – and your quilts – with the vibrant colors of a flower garden. A primitive garden! The colors are Poppy and Marigold, Aster and Peony, and the prints are small-scaled. Use them for the small piecing I love or for bold bursts and color, and for adding a bit of color to a scrap quilts.
To give my garden the foundation it needs to bloom, we’ve used my facorite muslin shades of Tallow, Paper Bag and Pie Crust and created Flower Garden Backgrounds. These shirting-like prints are the sort that I’ll use for years to come, the’re like “Heirloom Seeds”… or the seeds for my heirlooms and yours.

Garden Variety

By Lella Boutique

The rain has fallen, seeds have been planted, and bees are busing as they make their way from flower to flower. Soon the garden will be in full bloom.
There is splendid harmony found in a garden bed, a juxtaposition of beauty and growth mingled with weeds and brambles. Perhaps they are not at odds in the way we might sometimes suppose, but instead, the garden is the balance of a good life. Just as in a real garden, you will find a variety of textures and sun-kissed colors in this collection… along with a few brambles too!
Pick your favorites and see what you can grow in your fabric garden.

Dandi Annie

By Robin Pickens

Dandelions remind me of growing up in the Midwest and seeing the cheery, yellow blooms pop up in the middle of the yard. While the adults saw them as annoying weeds, we saw simple, happy flowers that made charming bouquets, could be twisted into necklaces and rubbed onto our skin to make a lovely golden color. Even better than the yellow beauties were the mature puff balls of seeds. We knew our dreams were sure to come true if we could blow all the seeds off the stem in one big breath. The graceful dance of seeds traveling in the breeze gave flight to our wishes on warm sunny days.

On Meadowlark Pond

By Kansas Troubles

Over the years, in a spot midway between our front porch and the pond… my husband, Robert, has gathered an array of bird feeders. There are hooks with feeders of all sizes and shapes, holding a variety of bird seeds. We enjoy watching blue jays, barn swallows, red-winged blackbirds, robind, finches, bob-whites, and an abundance of our Kansas state bird, the Meadowlark. Within minutes of filling the feeders, there is a flurry of wings. There are dances for dominance, tweets of happiness and songs gratitude when the feast is done. At dusk, the rabbits, raccoons and deer wander in to take advantage of the seeds that dropped to the ground,. Robert admits he buys enough seeds that dropped to the ground. Robert admits he buys enough seed to feed the entire county.. but the show makes it totally worth it.
